Welcome to the East Coast Windsurfing Association's website.Based in Mount Martha, a group of us decided that this website would be ideal to post our pics, videos, list our favourite spots along the bay and Coastal Victoria. Easy to find links to weather, tides, local stores and latest news on local windsurfing events. And any days/weekends out or Social/Windsurfing events will are planning. We hope you enjoy it. We welcome new members. So sign up, its free. Once you are a member you can create your own Rider Profile, join our Forum, or sell your Pre-loved Gear News and UpdatesOver the last couple of weeks I have been talking with Stephen Coward who is the new president of Windsurfing Victoria. Some real positives came out of the talks, here are some of the things that were brought up. WV are really keen in the promotion of the sport and it's events and social activities it runs throughout the year. They have a desire to build up good communications between all clubs in Victoria, RPS and SHQ, Vic Parks and all windsurfers regardless of whether they are WV members. They would like ECW to be a part of that and involved in some of the activities that they want to run in our area. Some of the ideas were, with the close involvement from RPS and SHQ. BBQs - a meet and greet some of the guys from other parts of Vic. Family days - where we can get the kids and the other half on the water. Events and Comps - a lay back forum and fun events, maybe bring back the old winter classic? From the feedback I have been getting, this has been something we all are interested in having and with the help of WV, RPS and SHQ it can now be possible. Having said that I was offered to joined WV as a committee member to represent ECW and gladly accepted. In the near future I will be updating you on a regular basis with information about up coming events and activities that WV have planned, specials and product info from RPS and SHQ. Paul from SHQ mentioned to us about the van Neil Pryde have which is going around Australia. The Van is choc with all the new 2011 equipment. It'll be in Victoria from sometime in December till mid January, with the exception of it being in Tassie on the 18th and 19th of December and sometime between Xmas and New Years at Inverloch for a couple of days. Other than that its up for grabs and we are most welcome to use and bring it down to the peninsula. Feel free to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
